Key Nutrients

Chia Protein

Chia seeds are recognized as a nutrient-dense food, rich in alpha-linolenic acid (an omega-3 fatty acid), dietary fiber, protein, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which may provide indirect health benefits relevant to pregnancy, such as improved cardiovascular and metabolic profiles, reduced inflammation, and better glycemic control.

Choline

Choline is essential for your baby’s spinal cord and brain development, gene expression, and tissue production as well as possibly reducing risk of neural tube defects, autism, and Down syndrome.

Collagen

Collagen Supports skin elasticity, joint health, and connective tissue, especially important during pregnancy and as the uterus expands.

Methylfolate

Folate supplementation during pregnancy is proven to reduce risk of neural tube disorders and megaloblastic anemia, reduces other birth defects, preterm birth, and (if taken preconception) small-for-gestational-age.

Iodine

Mild to moderate iodine deficiency is common among women of childbearing age and low iodine levels may reduce chances of pregnancy.

Magnesium

Magnesium deficiency is very common among women of childbearing age, and needs increase during pregnancy. Deficiency puts both mom and baby at risk for issues such as preeclampsia, poor fetal growth and low birth weight.

Selenium

Low selenium levels has been linked to increase risk of miscarriage as well as damage to the nervous and immune systems of the developing baby. Selenium also supports healthy follicles within the ovaries which play a role in the development and release of the egg.

Vitamin B12

B12 is critical for reducing risk of infertility, miscarriage, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and preterm birth. Deficiency is associated with low birth weight, neural tube defects, serious heart defects, and childhood diabetes.

Vitamin D3

4,000 IU of vitamin D daily is shown to be most effective in reducing risks like miscarriage, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, low birth weight, preterm birth, infections, and postpartum depression.

Vitamin K2

Vitamin K is needed by the baby to support proper bone growth, protein formation in the liver, and to prevent bleeding in the baby after birth which can happen in the setting of vitamin K deficiency.

Acetyl L-Carnitine

L-carnitine has antioxidant-like properties, improves the quality of semen, and provides energy to sperm which improves sperm motility.

Collagen

Collagen Supports skin elasticity, joint health, and connective tissue, especially important during pregnancy and as the uterus expands.

CoQ10

Oxidative stress contributes to male infertility and research shows that CoQ10 supplementation improved sperm concentration, motility, and reduced oxidative stress markers.

Methylfolate

Methylation abnormalities of sperm have been linked to male infertility by negatively impacting sperm count and quality. About 50% of couples who struggle with infertility are due to male factors.

Selenium

Low levels of selenium have been linked to poor semen quality and sperm motility. Research has also demonstrated that supplementation of selenium and vitamin E may further enhance semen quality and sperm motility in infertile men.

Vitamin B12

B12 has been shown to increase sperm count, improve sperm motility, and is vital for semen quality.

Vitamin C

Research indicates that vitamin C supplementation in infertile men can improve sperm count, sperm motility, and sperm quality towards conception.

Vitamin D3

For men’s fertility, vitamin D3 plays the most significant role in improving sperm motility.

Zinc

Zinc is most recognized for its role in sperm formation, testosterone balance, maintaining the lining of reproductive organs, and supporting proper thyroid function.

Great option aside from 1-month supply claim.

"We love the option to have a powder vitamin that includes protein and collagen. Mixing it with a blender bottle is better than a handheld frother in my opinion. What we do not like is that the website says it is a 1-month supply but the bag only contains 20 servings which is misleading. The bag should contain 30 servings if truly a 1-month supply. Due to this, we are not sure if we will continue purchasing or looking elsewhere."

Delicious!

"I blended this protein powder with 10 oz of organic whole milk. It’s so good! I’m curious to see if it will still taste good the morning after. I want to be able to make it the night before so it’s ready first thing in the morning. Truly a delicious product. I do highly recommend blending instead of shaking it. (:"

Do not use in Third Trimester

"I actually switched to this during my third trimester to help get more protein and get my prenatal vitamins. *Note, there is NO IRON in this, and my iron levels dropped because I was not aware this had no iron as their directions say this can be taken in place of the capsules. I started having anemic symptoms and now need extra help to catch up. It needs to be very clear that this protein mix cannot completely replace the capsules, especially not during the third trimester when iron is key. I do like that this helped me get more protein as I am struggling to eat enough protein which is why I switched in the first place. This should not be used in the third trimester unless you are taking a separate iron supplement already."

Great powder option

"This is a great option when I feel like I can't swallow pills. I really wish I knew about this for my first pregnancy."

Highly Recommend!

"My husband has been taking this in bis breakfast shakes 5-7 days a week and we've both noticed differences. He's had more energy and mental clarity, and his hair is growing in fuller. Can't wait to see if it boosts his fertility or libido!"

I truly love this pre

"I truly love this pre / post natal powder. I love that it's in protein powder form AND has collagen, I honestly have seen a difference in my skin and overall energy as I am now in my postpartum phase. I love the taste as is, but may start experimenting and adding fruit and veggies. For now, I love it so much! I have it on auto to get a discount but purchased 5 bags upfront just so I have enough. I also have the vitamin form which I will take on a day I don't have time but prefer this!"

— Soraya W. (5/5)

I wanted to love it

"I wanted to love it but it tastes like vanilla protein with coarsely ground up vitamins in it… it’s awful. The taste starts off vanilla flavored and then you quickly taste all the sour flecks off vitamin in it. I tried vigorously shaken with ice water, also tried with milk. I thought the product was spoiled because of the taste and the Wenatal customer service team was amazing and sent me another packet right away… unfortunately the flavor is the same. Now I have an entire brand new packet of protein I won’t drink. Love the we natal her vitamins,"

This protein prenatal is the

"This protein prenatal is the answer to my prayers. As someone who always got nauseous taking my prenatals and someone who knows the importance of starting the day with protein (especially when pregnant) this combo has been a game changer. I mix it up with a lil splash of coffee and almond milk and feel like I'm drinking the best Kreation smoothie each morning. Like, can I drink this every day even if I'm not pregnant ?!?"

— Grace E. (5/5)

This is my first time

"This is my first time taking prenatal in powder and just in general. The flavor is pretty good it doesn’t taste bad i really liked it, i drink it with my smoothie every day. I like that it has all nutrients every women needs. I dont think ill try anything else besides this brand like i said its my first and im actually very happy with the results. Thank you."

I am so grateful for

"I am so grateful for WeNatal to help support a healthy pregnancy after a stillbirth - my living son is now 19 months and thriving. The new Prenatal Protein+ has been a game changer for me. With my son's pregnancy, I would open the prental vitamin capsules and pour them into a smoothie. This powder is exactly what I've been looking for! WeNatal continues to rank #1 in my book and body!"
